RDS for MySQL DB clusters should be configured to copy tags to DB snapshots

Description

Flags MySQL-engine RDS DB clusters whose CopyTagsToSnapshot is disabled. Without this setting, snapshots taken from the cluster lose ownership/cost-allocation tags.

Remediation

Modify each MySQL DB cluster and enable Copy tags to snapshots.

Steps

  1. Open the Amazon RDS console and select the DB cluster.
  2. Choose Modify.
  3. Under Maintenance, enable Copy tags to snapshots.
  4. Save the changes (apply immediately or during the next maintenance window).
