Description
Ensures RDS instances have automatic backups enabled with a retention period of at least 7 days.
Remediation
Set the backup retention period to at least 7 days for the RDS instance.
Steps
- Log in to the AWS Management Console and open the Amazon RDS console.
- Select the RDS instance and choose 'Modify'.
- In the 'Backup' section, set the 'Backup retention period' to >= 7 days.
- Save the changes.
