Kinesis streams should be tagged

Description

Flags Amazon Kinesis data streams that have no user-defined tags. Tags help associate streams with their owning team, environment, and producers/consumers; untagged streams are operationally opaque.

Remediation

Apply at least one user-defined tag to every Kinesis data stream.

Steps

  1. Open the Amazon Kinesis console and choose Data streams.
  2. Select the stream and choose the Tags tab.
  3. Add at least one tag with a non-aws: prefixed key.
  4. Save the changes.
