Elasticsearch domains should be tagged

Description

Flags Amazon Elasticsearch Service domains that have no user-defined tags. Tags help associate domains with their owning team and use case; untagged domains are operationally opaque.

Remediation

Apply at least one user-defined tag to every Elasticsearch domain.

Steps

  1. Open the Amazon OpenSearch Service console (or legacy Elasticsearch console).
  2. Select the domain and choose the Tags tab.
  3. Add at least one tag with a non-aws: prefixed key.
  4. Save the changes.
