ECS services should be tagged

Description

Flags Amazon ECS services that have no user-defined tags. Tags help associate services with their owning team, environment, and cost centre; untagged services are operationally opaque.

Remediation

Apply at least one user-defined tag to every ECS service.

Steps

  1. Open the Amazon ECS console and select the cluster, then the service.
  2. Choose the Tags tab and select Edit.
  3. Add at least one tag with a non-aws: prefixed key.
  4. Save the changes.
