ECR public repositories should be tagged

Description

Flags Amazon ECR Public repositories that have no user-defined tags. Tags help associate repositories with their owning team and product; untagged public repositories are operationally opaque.

Remediation

Apply at least one user-defined tag to every ECR public repository.

Steps

  1. Open the Amazon ECR console and choose Public registry.
  2. Select the affected repository and choose Tags.
  3. Add at least one tag with a non-aws: prefixed key.
  4. Save the changes.
