DynamoDB tables should be present in a backup plan

Description

This control checks whether DynamoDB tables are included in a backup plan. Including tables in backup plans helps protect data from unintended loss or deletion.

Remediation

To add a DynamoDB table to an AWS Backup backup plan, follow the instructions in the AWS Backup Developer Guide.

Steps

  1. Open the AWS Backup console.
  2. Select or create a backup plan.
  3. Assign DynamoDB tables to the backup plan.
