DMS replication instances should be tagged

Description

Flags AWS DMS replication instances that have no user-defined tags. Tags help associate replication instances with their owning team and migration project; untagged instances are operationally opaque.

Remediation

Apply at least one user-defined tag to every DMS replication instance.

Steps

  1. Open the AWS DMS console and choose Replication instances.
  2. Select the instance and choose Add or remove tags.
  3. Add at least one tag with a non-aws: prefixed key.
  4. Save the changes.
