DataSync tasks should be tagged

Description

Flags AWS DataSync tasks that have no user-defined tags. Tags help associate tasks with their owning team, environment, and data lineage; untagged tasks are operationally opaque.

Remediation

Apply at least one user-defined tag to every DataSync task.

Steps

  1. Open the AWS DataSync console and choose Tasks.
  2. Select the task and choose Edit.
  3. Under Tags, add at least one tag with a non-aws: prefixed key.
  4. Save the changes.
