CloudFront distributions should be tagged

Description

Flags Amazon CloudFront distributions that have no user-defined tags. Tags help associate distributions with their owning team, environment, and cost centre; untagged distributions are operationally opaque.

Remediation

Apply at least one user-defined tag to every CloudFront distribution.

Steps

  1. Open the CloudFront console and select the distribution.
  2. Choose the Tags tab and select Manage tags.
  3. Add at least one tag with a non-aws: prefixed key (e.g. Owner, Environment).
  4. Save the changes.
